A couple nights ago at a Thai restaurant I had the pleasure of meeting Thomas DeCarlo Callway AKA Cee-Lo. For those that do not remember Cee-Lo he is a singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer. His most recent recognition comes from his accomplishments as a member of Gnarls Barkley.
What can Cee-Lo teach us?
When Cee-Lo was 2 he lost his father. At 16, his mother was involved in a severe car crash that left her a quadriplegic and 2 years later she lost her life. With all the challenges that Cee-Lo has faced in his life he continues to progress. Everyday is a new day and he handles all setbacks gracefully. From becoming a rapper to songwriter and now a producer, Cee-Lo has created changes in his life that are motivating and inspirational.
All of us in our lives will have setbacks but it is how we handle those setbacks that defines the person we are. When times are easy we can all become leaders but what happens when there is an event that knocks us down. Do you crash or do you use your setback as a catalyst to improve your life?
I challenge all of you this week that are in a rut to find 1 thing you can do to improve your life. Whether its talking to a stranger, volunteering at a nursing home, reading a book, complimenting a friend, or surprising your significant other, there is always one area in your life you can improve.
What's yours?

Thanks for this!
You went to a restaurant wearing that?! Austin Louis Cohen... I'm disappointed in your wardrobe choice, but am still constantly amazed at the progress you've made in your professional and personal life every day. Keep bringing positivity to people around you. You're always impacting me one way or another, so thanks for the support!
