How's your nerve flow?

What's with the video below?

The importance of the video below is to demonstrate what proper nerve flow should like. From 0-15 seconds of the video, notice how free the spinal cord (middle vertical white line) is moving. When the video gets to 15 seconds or its 2nd phase, notice the misaligned vertebra and the pressure on the spinal cord. The last part of the film which starts at 33 seconds, demonstrates for the second time what a properly aligned spine should look like. Notice in the first and last part of the film the spinal cord how no pressure on it.

What is so important about having pressure on our spinal cord?

If you answered the poll on the homepage then it may become obvious to you that the master control system in our body is the nervous system. Our nervous system was the first to be developed in the fetus and from this all other organs are formed. Our nervous system which is made up of the spinal cord and brain is the most important organ system in our body. The brain and spinal cord are so vital that they are the only two organs in our entire body that are protected by bone. They are encased by bone for extra protection and support. Nerves that leave the space between each vertebra in the spine go to ALL cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems in our body, which is why a perfectly aligned spine equals optimal health.

Should I wait until there is pain to see if I have pressure on my spinal cord?

NO! By the time most people go to any healthcare professional with pain, then the problem has already progressed to an advanced state. A recent study reported that the 60% of the time the first sign of pain in a patient with heart disease is the actual heart attack. In dental patients, by the time they wait until there is the pain their tooth decay is at the point when they need to have their teeth removed. If a cancer patient waited until they felt pain then the cancer may have spread throughout the body. The point I am making is that you cannot feel you arteries being clogged, tooth decay, or cancer building in your body. Like those three examples, you also cannot feel a misaligned spine until there is an abundance of degeneration and decay. This is why it is important from a young age to be sure to have your spine checked by your chiropractor.

What can I do now?

* Come to our office as soon as a possible and setup a consultation at our expense.

Can I do other exercises?

I think exercise is amazing and I do it at least 5 times a week. The issue is that if your spine has begun to  lose its curves and is starting to degenerate then the only thing going on is your building into that problem. If you drive on tires that are supposed to get 50,000 miles, but you have never had your car aligned, then you may only get 35,000 miles out of those tires. So, first come get checked, maintain a properly aligned spine, then perform your exercises. This order will give you the most mileage that your body deserves.
